Daniel's Home Services at 150 Little Refuge Road, Waleska, Georgia.

Unlike others who have reported satisfaction retaining Daniel's Home service, we had a very bad experience with him. We hired him for what he described as an easy job that could be completed within a week. We had received bids from custom door companies but because we planned to use Daniel's to do some remodeling we also chose him to replace the doors as well. This was a mistake. Daniel used standard size doors that were not made for our openings. This caused a lot of problems resulting in the job running considerably overschedule. We also had one door that came with a measurement defect from the manufacturer, so that caused additional delays. Daniels prices were the same or slightly higher than some of have for custom fitted doors and lower quality. His installer had no problem pounding the living hell out of the door frame or prying another one with a crowbar to get it to fit. The remodeling consisted of adding a wall and building two closets. After three weeks we finally told Daniel we had enough and we would finish the remainder of the job (just some paint work and touch ups). I personally walked Daniel through the work performed and showed him specific problems with the quality of his crew's work. My hope was he would use this to help train his staff to do better work. Instead, his response was that the job had run way past his original estimates and he was going to lose money. He said his margins were small on home repair and since he now had his contractors license, he wasn't sure why he was still doing home services anyway. To be fair, he did offer to redo some of the work repairs, but by then our trust and patience were shot. The painter he subcontracted with was really poor, took forever, and left three big oil spots in the street in front of our house.
If you can believe it, this is actually a positive spin on our experience.
Daniel comes off as a really genuine and nice person. I think his business may have grown faster than he is able to handle which has resulted in some spotty work at best.
